Ciro Rolón is regarded by critics as one of the most promising talents in Argentine classical music. He has established himself in his international musical career through both technical brilliance and interpretative depth. An active concert artist, he frequently tours venues across the Americas and Europe.

He was awarded First Prize at the 24th EPTA (European Piano Teachers Association) International Course, Competition, and Scholarship program, organized by the Il suono e il tempo Internazionale Foundation (Argentina–Italy) and ALAPP (Latin American Association of Pianists and Pedagogues). He has performed as a soloist with symphony orchestras in Argentina, Latin America, and Europe, and has given recitals at venues such as the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires, as well as concert halls in the United Kingdom, Spain, Germany, France, Austria, Hungary, the Netherlands, Italy, Brazil and Chile.

He began his musical studies at an early age under the guidance of Liliana Obregón in Cipolletti, Río Negro (Argentine Patagonia), who was his first major influence and source of inspiration. He pursued advanced studies with Maestro Aldo Antognazzi in Buenos Aires—an heir to the Italian school of the legendary pianists Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli and Carlo Vidusso. Other mentors who have contributed to his extensive pianistic training include Bruno Gelber, Daniel Rivera, Rustem Hayroudinoff, Alberto Portugheis, Ingrid Fliter, Stefano Mancuso, Anna Revel, Sebastián Trimeliti, Emilio Peroni, and Haydeé Schvartz, among others; with them, he has refined his technique and interpretation.

His reputation and career are backed by numerous awards, including First Prize at the “Ludwig van Beethoven Piano Concertos” National Seminar and Competition (2019), a shared First Prize (ex-aequo) at the “Carlos López Buchardo” National Piano Competition (2016), the Ginastera Prize for the best performance of the Argentine composer’s work, and Second Prize at the “Tilo Rajneri” National Performers Competition organized by the Patagonia Cultural Foundation (2023).

He has received scholarships from the “Centro de Estudios Pianísticos” (CEP Barcelona), the Mozarteum Argentino, and the National Arts Fund (Fondo Nacional de las Artes). He holds a degree in Musical Arts, specializing in piano performance and graduating with “Summa cum Laude“ honors from the National University of the Arts (UNA). He also trained in orchestral conducting under Maestro Gustavo Fontana at UNA’s Department of Musical and Sound Arts. Since 2014, he has served as an associate pianist at the Teatro Colón’s Higher Art Institute in Buenos Aires.
