Pablo Amorós proposes a program around dancing. His latest recording has been presented with the Boston Waltzes by Clifton Worsley, a Catalan composer who enjoyed extraordinary success in the first third of the twentieth century. Along with the latter’s Boston Waltzes, delicious works, waltzes by Chopin, the piano poet and two works by Enrique Granados, a contemporary of Worsley and whose Poetic Waltzes allow us to appreciate the differences and similarities between the two. The concert ends with the famous Allegro de Concierto, a virtuoso work with which the composer won a competition at the Madrid Conservatory. A repertoire definitely to dance in our seats.
